RENO, Nev. (Feb. 25, 2025) – Today, the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is expanding its commitment to public art with a new solicitation for the Loop Road Project, marking the second major installation under the Arts at the Airport program. This initiative, supported by the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program, the largest modernization effort in the Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s (RNO) history, ensures that art remains an integral part of the airport’s transformation.
Following the success of Repeated Refrains by Dixie Friend Gay, the first public art commission funded by the MoreRNO program and now showcased in the newly expanded Ticketing Hall, RNO is seeking professional visual artists or artist teams to create a new site-specific, sculptural artwork along the airport’s Loop Road. This high-visibility installation will serve as a welcoming landmark for travelers and the community, reinforcing northern Nevada’s identity as a hub for creativity and culture.
