RELEASE – Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Announces New Elected Board Officers

RENO, Nev. (July 11, 2024) – The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is pleased to announce the election of new officers to its Board of Trustees for the upcoming fiscal year. The RTAA oversees both Reno-Tahoe International (RNO) and Reno-Stead (RTS) airports, ensuring their continued growth and success as vital components of northern Nevada’s economy. The RTAA Board of Trustees is composed of nine members appointed by the City of Reno, City of Sparks, Washoe County, and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority.

Jennifer Cunningham, representing the City of Reno, has been elected as the new Chair of the RTAA Board of Trustees. With her extensive experience and dedication to the community, Cunningham is set to lead the board through an exciting period of development and innovation. Her strong leadership and a commitment to enhancing the region’s infrastructure and services, blended with a strong vision and strategic approach, will guide the RTAA Board in achieving new milestones.

“I am honored to be elected as Chair of the RTAA Board of Trustees,” said Jennifer Cunningham. “I look forward to leading the board through the next phases of the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program and navigating this dynamic and busy period for RNO. Together, we will continue to elevate the Reno-Tahoe region as a premier tourism and convention destination and economic hub.”

Other elected board officers:

  • Shaun Carey,representing the City of Sparks, has been selected as Vice Chair. Carey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in public service and infrastructure management, positioning him as a key leader in advancing the goals of the RTAA and supporting the development of RNO and RTS.
  • Cortney Young, representing Washoe County, will serve as Treasurer. Young’s financial expertise will be invaluable in managing the fiscal responsibilities of the RTAA and ensuring its financial health. With a robust background in finance, Young’s expertise will ensure the RTAA’s financial strategies support its long-term objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Adam Kramer, representing Washoe County, has been re-elected as Secretary. Kramer’s commitment to sustainability and innovative approach to sustainability and energy solutions will be instrumental in driving the RTAA’s initiatives forward.
