Southwest Airlines has announced nonstop service from RNO to Austin, starting March 6, 2025.

Starting March 7, 2025, Frontier Airlines is returning to RNO with nonstop service to two popular destinations, Las Vegas and Denver, three times a week. Perfect for a weekend getaway or connecting to other destinations.

RNO recently celebrated a decade of nonstop service between RNO and Guadalajara with Volaris. This partnership has strengthened cultural ties, tourism and economic growth between two cities. Santa swapped his sleigh for a C-130 at RNO’s 10th annual Operation Santa Claus event, bringing holiday cheer to 28 local families supported by The Children’s Cabinet. From a Parade of Planes to therapy dog cuddles and a Grinch-y greeting, it was a magical day for all.
This heartwarming tradition showcases the power of community during the holidays, with gifts, joy and support for families facing challenges.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are headed to Reno-Stead Airport on Dec. 14, where the community is invited to experience the spirit of the holidays.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by aircraft and spend time with children from the Stead area. The event features story time, arts and crafts and aviation youth programs in partnership with the Washoe County Library System and other aviation groups.
