(RENO, NV) – Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) wants to land local retail and restaurant businesses in the terminal to help give customers a true sense of place as they arrive and depart our region.

The airport is hosting a local business workshop from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. June 15, in the terminal.  The workshop will walk local businesses through the process of opening a retail or restaurant operation at the airport.  RNO expects to serve approximately 4 million passengers in the coming fiscal year.  The workshop will help local businesses participate in an upcoming Request for Proposal process.

“Reno-Tahoe International makes the first and last impression on people coming and going from our region and we want local businesses to be a part of that,” Marily Mora, President/CEO of Reno-Tahoe International Airport, said. “We encourage our local entrepreneurs to join us and learn the process of how to get involved in our award-winning airport.”

The airport has added 14 news flights in 22 months and 1,600 additional daily seats.  Eight airlines offer service to 21 destinations in the United States and Mexico.  Reno-Tahoe International is the 66th busiest commercial airport in the U.S. and does not operate on local tax dollars.

To register for the workshop, please contact Titus Roberson by June 1, at troberson@renoairport.com or (775) 328-6418.
