Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is proud to offer Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in the public parking garage. In partnership with NV Energy, the airport has two convenient charging stations that allow electric vehicle drivers to plug-in, charge and go!
One station is located near the south-central end of the first floor and the second charging station is located at the southwest corner on the third floor parking garage. Both electric vehicle charging stations are clearly marked with signage. There is no fee to use these stations, but regular parking rates apply as you exit the garage. The charging stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Level I chargers are compatible with most electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, including popular models such as the Chevy Volt, the Nissan Leaf and the plug-in version of the Toyota Prius. Level I chargers deliver the same electric current as a standard household plug (115V) and provide a slower steady charge for vehicles.
These new charging stations exemplify the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority’s commitment to the environment and sustainable development while also enhancing customer service by adding a safe, convenient way for passengers to recharge their electric vehicles while out of town.
