Where is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) located?

Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, in Northern Nevada. Reno, Nevada is 218 miles northeast of San Francisco, California and 448 miles north of Las Vegas Nevada.

How do I plan my flight into RNO?

Flight planning into RNO is made simple with either Sky Vector Aeronautical Charts or DUATS.com.

Please be sure to add the following items to your pre-flight checklist:

  • Check NOTAMs for construction related closures.
  • Monitor the ATIS on 135.8 prior to entering class “C” airspace at Reno or contacting ground control for taxi instructions.
  • Contact Reno ground control on 121.9 prior to beginning your taxi.
  • Be alert and listen for any hold-short instructions from ATC.
