07-10-2012 - New Flight to Ontario, CA
Southwest Airlines is adding a new non-stop seasonal flight between Reno and Ontario, California starting January 6, 2013.
The new flight will feature a 137-seat Boeing 737 and will enhance Reno’s connections to the L.A. Basin. In addition, because of Ontario’s proximity to Palm Springs, it will offer travelers another option for getting in to the Palm Springs area. For winter sports enthusiasts in the Southern California area, this new flight is just in time for the ski season.
“Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s relationship with Southwest Airlines is vitally important to our community and this new flight to Ontario demonstrates how strongly Southwest views our region,” RTAA President/CEO Krys Bart said. “The best way we can thank Southwest for this support and the seasonal flight they have added is to fill the seats on their aircraft.”
The flight will leave Ontario at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Reno-Tahoe at 9:20 a.m., Sunday through Friday. The return flight will leave Reno-Tahoe at 12:55 p.m. and arrive in Ontario at 2:10 p.m. On Saturdays, the schedule will operate with a 10:55 a.m. departure from Ontario and a 12:15 p.m. Reno arrival. The outbound flight will depart Reno at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays with a 12:20 p.m. arrival in Ontario.
The new seasonal flight will operate from January 6, 2013 to March 8, 2013.
