Fixed Asset Inventory and Surplus Inventory -   The Purchasing and Materials Management Division  compiles, updates and maintains current records on all personal property owned by Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (i.e. automobiles, equipment, furniture, tools, computers, telecommunications, etc.) for inventory and insurance purposes. It transfers, disposes of, or sells such items at the end of their useful life or when no longer required, within the mandated limits of the legal requirements and restrictions, in a manner that ensures the fullest utilization of the assets, recoups some of the original investment for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority when sold, and ensures compliance with disposal requirements and regulations.  Most surplus property is dispositioned through bi-annual auctions.
